Corrigal Safety Consulting is certified to conduct external audits with Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan based certifying partnerships including:
ISO 45001:2018 has been designed to act as a single standard to promote better occupational health and safety (OH&S) management around the world.
It incorporates new concepts on OH&S management, helping to strengthen leadership, management of risk and worker involvement.
Health & safety management system audits are conducted to determine the effectiveness of the developed health & safety management system and to identify the strengths and opportunities for improvements.
A Certificate of Recognition (COR) is awarded to employers who develop a health and safety program that meets established standards. Certificates are issued by Alberta Employment and Immigration and are co-signed by Certifying Partners.
Achieving and maintaining a valid COR is required for earning a financial incentive through the WCB Partnerships in Injury Reduction program. Also, it is not unusual for Alberta corporations to expect contractors bidding on projects to hold a valid COR.
There are two types of Health & Safety Certificate of Recognition programs currently available:
A COR recognizes that the employer’s health and safety management system has been evaluated by a certified auditor and found to meet Partnerships standards.
Effective health and safety management systems have been shown to have an impact on reducing injuries. Eliminating the social and financial effects of injuries can strengthen the business success of participating employers.
Prove your commitment to safety, and join others that are seeing lower fatality rates, reduced lost-time claim rates, decreased disability rates and a more competitive position in the industry.
